Hello and welcome to Lanne-en-Barétous, in the heart of the Barétous valley, bordering Basque Country.

Situated at 560 m altitude, between the Issarbe chain and the climbing wall of Arguibel, our farm "Ninette" overhangs the Barlanès area.
We rear a local breed of Basque milk ewes called "Manex black face" as well as Pyrenean goats, an ancient rare breed.

Our flocks are fed on natural produce (cereal, grass and hay). We move to mountain pastures annually to the Issarbe chain (1490m) from June to October...

Our favourite
On presentation of this page, a visit of the farm and tasting seance are offered !

We produce Farm Cheeses from fresh ewe's and goat's milk (Pyrenean Tomme, Pure Ewe's milk, Pure Goat's milk, Mixed Ewe's-Goat's and Fresh Goat's milk)

The flavours our our Cheeses vary according to the season (pastured at the farm or pastured on the mountain) but they stay cheeses with character and an authentic taste.
Come and taste our Cheeses at the Farm or at the local markets (from June to September Sunday mornings at Aramits, Monday mornings at Tardets).

We can also, depending on the season, mail cheeses, by colissimo.

See you soon at "Ninette's"

After Lanne, follow the Barlanès road, direction Issarbe for 8 kms, then take a right taking rocher école direction (Arguibel climbing wall).
